The 2022 U.s. House of Representatives elections in Ohio will exist held on Nov 8, 2022, to elect the xv U.South. Representatives from Ohio, one from each of the state'due south projected 15 congressional districts. The 1st district is based in Cincinnati, stretching southwestward to Ohio'southward borders with Kentucky and Indiana. The incumbent is Republican Steve Chabot, who was re-elected with 51.viii% of the vote in 2020.[one]

This district is included on the list of Republican-held seats the Democratic Congressional Entrada Committee is targeting in 2022.[2]

Commune 6 [edit]

The 6th commune encompasses Appalachian Ohio and the Mahoning Valley, including Youngstown, Steubenville, and Marietta. The incumbents are Republican Bill Johnson, who was re-elected with 74.4% in 2020, and Democrat Tim Ryan, formerly of Ohio's 13th congressional district, who was re-elected with 52.5% in 2020.[1] On April 26, 2021, Ryan announced that he would seek the United states of americaSenate seat existence vacated by 2-term Senator Rob Portman.[18]

This district is included on the listing of Autonomous-held seats the National Republican Congressional Commission is targeting in 2022.[nineteen] However, due to redistricting, the seat was merged with a much more than Republican one, then information technology is unlikely that they will struggle to hold information technology.
